Q: Do I have to buy gift cards from Gåva Systems in order
to use your software?
A:
Although we do sell gift cards at discounted prices you are always free to shop for the best pricing. Unlike other programs on the market Gåva does not require special or one-time use cards.
Q: Do I need access to the internet to use GåvaBAS?
A: No – GåvaBAS is a stand-alone solution. GåvaBAS is not multi-store compatible
and is only designed to work on one computer within one store.
Q: Will I have to pay a per transaction fee to use GåvaBAS?
A: No – once the software is purchase there are no further charges to use the system apart for support assistance.
Q: If need a special report – how can I get one?
A: Since GåvaBAS is a legacy product we will no longer be making any modifications to the software.

Q: How do I upgrade GåvaBAS?
A: Current GåvaBAS users may upgrade to our newest
version of GåvaEL. Please contact our support department for details.
Q: Is GåvaBAS multiple store compatible?
A: No - GåvaBAS is designed and licensed
only for single store/locations only. If you require a multiple
store version GåvaEL will meet your needs and adds many new and
helpful features.
Q: Can I run a loyalty program using GåvaBAS?
A: GåvaBAS does not have a loyalty card program. We encourage you to look at
GåvaEL which incorporates a loyalty card program.
Q: Can I add stations to GåvaBAS?
A: No - GåvaBAS is intended for single stations only and
is not networkable.
Q: Is training on GåvaBAS difficult?
A: GåvaBAS has been designed to be easy to use. Training should take less than 5 minutes – the process of accepting a gift or loyalty card is as easy as 1-2-3.
Q: What happens if I need technical support?
A: Gåva Systems has around the clock support should you ever need to contact us. In addition, all of our support is done by our own support staff – not a call center.

Q: Do I need special equipment to use GåvaBAS?
A: In most cases no. Depending on the equipment and how it is configured, GåvaBAS in should be able to interface with the peripherals you already have. Please check with us to insure proper operation and compatibility.
Q: What operating systems are supported?
A: GåvaBAS is designed to run on Windows 98 and higher operating systems.
