Q: Does Gåva-EL work with a dial up account?

A: Yes – Gåva-EL works with virtually any type of internet connection.

Q: Do I have to buy gift cards from Gåva Systems in order to use your software?

A: Although we do sell gift cards at discounted prices that our compatible with Gåva -  you are always free to shop for the best pricing. Unlike other programs on the market Gåva-EL does not require special or one-time use cards. 

Q: Do I need access to the internet to use Gåva-EL?

A: Yes – Gåva-EL uses the internet to access to the Gåva-EL Data Server as well as to provide real-time information between your stores and balance information to your customers. As well as providing secure storage and backup of your data.

Q: Will I have to pay a per transaction fee to use Gåva-EL?

A: No – the only fee you pay is a flat data service fee for unlimited access to the server and your data. The fee is minimal when compared to programs that require a per transaction fee or swipe charges.

Q: If need a special report – how can I get one?

A: Gåva-EL is designed to be customizable.  Gåva-EL comes configured with a wide range of reports developed for a variety of retail situations.  If you can not find what you are looking for we would be happy to help with the creation of a report to meet your customized needs.

Q: Can my customer check balances?

A: Yes – Gåva-EL permits customers access to their balances online 24 hours a day. This feature requires the installation of a script on your site. Please consult you web developer for assistance this process.

Q: How secure is Gåva-EL?

A: Gåva-EL features bank level security for all transaction and account information.

Q: How do I upgrade Gåva-EL?

A: Gåva-EL updates itself automatically. You will never have to download and install an update or run from station to station or store to store installing software again.

Q: Can I run a loyalty program using Gåva-EL?

A: Gåva-EL is unique in that it can handle both gift card transactions as well as a flexible and highly configurable loyalty program all using a single card.

Q: Can I add stations to Gåva-EL?

A: Adding stations is as easy as using Gåva-EL itself. You can set up additional stations in minutes online.

Q: How do I manage multiple stores?

A: Gåva-EL has a unique online control panel that permits you to mange all aspects of your gift card and/or loyalty program across all of your stores.

Q: Is training on Gåva-EL difficult?

A: Gåva-EL has been designed to be easy to use. Training should take less than 5 minutes – the process of accepting a gift or loyalty card is as easy as 1-2-3.

Q: What happens if I need technical support?

A: Gåva Systems has around the clock support should you ever need to contact us.  In addition, all of our support is done by our own support staff – not a call center.

Q: Do I need special equipment to use Gåva-EL?

A: No – however, having a bar code reader or a magnetic strip reader will speed up processing and reduce errors.  Gåva Systems has optional equipment available at our web store for discounted prices that has been tested with our software.

Q: Can I use the equipment I already have?

A: In most cases yes. Depending on the equipment and how it is configured, Gåva- EL in most cases should be able to interface with the peripherals you already have.  Please check with us to insure proper operation and compatibility. Gåva Systems can not offer support on 3rd party hardware products.

Q: What operating systems are supported?

A: Gåva-EL is designed to run on Windows 98 and higher operating systems.
